No, you won't. With Blessed Aura at 32% there is plenty of time to recast SoA. I had at least 20 Avicari Fierce mobbed at one point, and 2-3 Braves wailing away on me. SoA was never "down" for a second, because if it had been, I would have died instantly, Protective Spirit or not. If you think the recast time is too short, then sacrifice some Smiting Prayer and put another point in Divine Favor to boost Blessed Aura to 33%; that should leave you nearly a full second -extra- to recast SoA.

That might be right, but what about some of the interupt experts?
I'm sure the Aatxe and Grasping Darkness are much happier with the longer cast

That's what mantra of resolve WAS for. Against a few enemies, Mantra is still usuable. Against multiple Maelstroms....gg. Like I had stated. If for some reason they keep the one second cast time after testing, and Ice Imps are your choice of enemy. Just use Glyph of Concentration. Maelstrom does not interupt it. Just cycle between SoA/PS and SoA/SoJ FTW.
P.S.- I know there are more lucrative runs, but outside Ice Caves can net some good chests and gold Weapons. As well as massive XP. Plus the frigid hearts and badges trade at the collector for a 85g PROFIT! Unlike the collector items in the Crystal Desert which trade at face value.

That's what Mantra of Resolve still -is- for, I've completed several runs and collected two IDS without altering my build in the slightest. I'm not sure why you think it no longer works against a dozen Maelstroms, but it does.

Well....kudos for being one of the better GW Monks then. As for me, MoR is moot. And after numerous runs outside Ice Caves. I much prefer the Glyph now. I'm not sure how much your IDS build is from the SoA Build Naruto had posted before.
Note: I guess it's moot even moreso now that SoA is back to normal....FOR NOW, lol.
